It’s wonderful when your path crosses with dear friends that don’t live in the same place as you anymore. While in Paris for Fashion Week, Cee and her husband Ian were visiting the city too. We were neighbours in Vancouver, blogging besties and photo shoots would happen often. Cee and I had spoken dreamily about one day having an afternoon together in Paris. A serendipitous moment that happened a lot sooner than we expected.
For our Paris rendezvous, we met near the Palais Royale and wandered down a quiet street to snap a few photos before finding a spot for a café au lait and catch up. We didn’t talk much about what we would wear. It didn’t matter. Things have changed so much since we started blogging. We’ve both been in the industry for over 10 years, and have learned so many things along the way. We’ve grown, the industry has changed, and it was fun to just relax back into a rhythm of capturing content and creating something together. Our walk was more or less aimed at finding a cafe. We had a giggle when we realized we both were wearing our favourite camel coat. Of course we did. Our styles have changed too, but we both still love a classic.
So while we may not live next door or have weekly shoots anymore, it felt good to capture something familiar, somewhere new. As seasoned bloggers we have our style shoots down to a fine art, so there was still time for coffee and croissants after. And truly, those are the best moments in Paris.
