This city of Vancouver is covered in pink, fluffy cherry blossoms. Across so many streets are rows of trees bursting with blooms. It’s one of the most spectacular things to see in person. I never tired of seeing these delicate flowers on so many Vancouverite’s instagram feeds. Something so pretty, yet so fleeting needs to be captured.
We took these photos at David Lam Park in Yaletown, one of my favourite places to walk along the seawall. The whole area was scattered with cherry blossom trees, creating a lovely canopy of little pink petals. I was excited to put together a feminine, Spring look for this style story. It was the first time I’d worn a dress in a while, and it felt so good to wear something lighter and brighter. It’s still quite chilly, so I paired this lace dress with a cream wool jacket and nude tights. For the finishing touch, I tied a few pieces of my hair back in a bow. A little ode to the pretty pink blossoms.
As the days get longer, it becomes so much more fun to dress up. Sunshine is very inspiring to put a fresh look together, and step up your style game. What are you excited to wear this season? Let me know in the comments below.
