My home away from home, Whistler, BC is a magical place during December. The mountains and trees are so picturesque when freshly dusted with snow. To celebrate the start of Holidays, my best friend Cee from Coco & Vera and I took a trip up to Whistler with our guys to kick off the season in style.Winter in Whistler is beautiful, but the icy temperatures can make stylish outfits a challenge. But, Cee and I both firmly believe that if you’re prepared, winter fashion can be practical enough to keep you warm, and still remain stylish.
Here are our tips for staying cozy, and chic this winter season:Snow Boots
To truly enjoy the snow, you have to have the right pair of boots. We have a stash of winter boots up at our home in Whistler, including these Sorel’s, which are my favourite. These are an must when you venture out, and a good pair of boots double as perfect snow shoeing boots…one of my absolute favourite winter activities!A Chunky Wool Sweater
A turtle neck chunky wool sweater is a perfectly practical, and chic wardrobe item. Not only will it keep you warm, but the turtle neck style will also elongate your neck. I love this sweater I picked up at BCBGMAXAZRIA. It’s cream with a silver stripe, that gives it a bit of a festive touch. Add a pair of oversize sunglasses, and your winter coat, and you’re ready for Apres Ski!
Pom Pom Toque
Keep toasty warm while out playing in the snow by donning a cozy toque. I love this one Cee is rocking from Mavi. Fur pom poms are super popular this season, and a pom pom on a toque is extra cute! And if all else fails, wrap yourself in a big wool blanket, like this one from The Hudson’s Bay. What says Canadian Christmas more than Sorel boots and a striped Hudson’s Bay Blanket?!
Wishing you a warm and happy Christmas!
