The Grand Palais in Paris
Set
The set was inspired by the rue Cambon Haute Couture salons where Gabrielle Chanel conducted her fittings and showed her creations. The space featured a white carpet and gold chairs, with all front row seats.
Only Front Row
“Everybody dreams of being in the front row and today, everybody got to be in the front row ” Karl Lagerfeld

The focus for Fall 2016 was the fundamental elements of the House that have been forever synonymous with Chanel. Our favourite silhouette was the knee-length skirts and dresses with slits, worn with fingerless gloves, pearls and flat knee-high riding boots.
Colour Palette
A neutral colour palette of black, grey and taupe made the bright pinks, reds and fuchsia really pop.Screen Shot 2016-03-10 at 7.14.31 PMScreen Shot 2016-03-10 at 7.14.17 PMchanel-fall-winter-2016-17-ready-to-wear-making-of-press-kit-29Accessory
Leather, tweed and felt bowler style hats were worn by many of the models, with a chin strap to fasten it in place. The cutest cat cuffs and emoticon jewellery were shown throughout the collection as well as Choupette, Karl Lagerfeld’s darling cat’s portrait printed on skirts and totes. Strands of pearls were layered on many of the looks – a definite Chanel signature.Screen Shot 2016-03-10 at 7.15.29 PMchanel-fall-winter-2016-17-ready-to-wear-celebrity-photos-01-frontrow-01chanel-fall-winter-2016-17-ready-to-wear-celebrity-photos-02-willow-smithCelebrity Guests
