November has arrived, along with the cold weather. Rainy days spent indoors make me want to add cozy touches to our home.
Winter can be wonderful when you’re curled up watching movies in bed, reading on the couch, or enjoying a roaring fireplace. Here are my Five Favourite ways to bring warmth into your home this winter.
A blanket is essential for getting cozy on the couch, and nothing says cozy quite like a faux fur blanket. There are so many blankets to choose from, but I love these creamy beige versions from Indigo and West Elm.
Curling up with a book feels much cozier when you’re reading by the light of a lamp instead of a bright overhead light. Upgrade the lighting in your home with a chic table lamp. I’m loving these three from The Cross, EQ3 and West Elm.
Rainy days call for a deliciously scented candle. My current collection of favourites include Baies by Diptyque, Saijo Persimmon from Voluspa and Vancouver Candle Company’s Strathcona.
Photo frames of family and loved ones immediately gives the sense of warmth and comfort. There is a fine line between cozy and cluttered though, so keep the frames in similar styles or colour. I love these various white frames from Indigo and The Cross.
Fall and Winter Decor
Tis the season, so bring out your Fall and Winter decor. Mine includes some mini pumpkins, pine cones from Michael’s and other pretty gold accents, like these vases from The Cross.
