After a very restful Christmas season, we’re getting ready to say “Hello lovely!” to 2016. My dear friend Cee, from Coco and Vera and I are ending 2015 on the prettiest note possible, with touches of sparkle, shades of white and blush, and, of course, a glass of bubbly!
New Years Eve is the perfect excuse to break our your fanciest frock, your highest heels and sparkling accessories. I’m so in love with this white gown from BCBGMAXAZRIA. The sheer panels and delicate touches of laces are perfect for a New Years Eve celebration. Complete with a smokey eye, lashes, a fresh blow out, and I’m ready to ring in the New Year in style! We shot these photos at one of my favourite hidden gems in the city, Uva Wine Bar. A cozy, chic lounge that boast some of the best cocktails in the city (This is mainly thanks to mixologist, sommelier and ‘architect of elixirs’, Lauren Mote)
Uva is actually where Cee and I first met for tea a few years ago. We had been introduced briefly just before Cee and her husband moved to Paris. We connected on instagram, and over the course of that year, we commented and liked each others photos, a lot! We knew we had to connect in person as soon as they returned to Vancouver. We met for tea (or maybe it was champagne) at Uva and quickly became close friends. They rest, as they say, is history.
This year, I’ll be celebrating New Years with a few friends. No one wants to show up to a party empty handed, so we’re treating our hostesses to one last beautiful gift, too – bucket of gorgeous roses from Landeau. 25 stunning long stem roses, held in a Parisian inspired hat box. Simple, classic, and incredibly luxurious.
Wishing you all a wonderful start to the New Year! We can’t wait to catch up with you all in 2016!
