Tell us about the Ted Baker brand
Ted Baker is a quintessentially British fashion and lifestyle brand that blends attention to detail, beautiful designs and high quality fabrics. We mix traditional and contemporary influences with head-turning colour, an irreverent sense of humour and a classic British attitude.

How would you describe the Ted Baker woman?
The Ted Baker woman knows what she wants when it comes to fashion, be it a classic tailored dress or a head to toe floral look. She’s not afraid to push the ‘fashion’ boundaries and add a little flair to her wardrobe.

The design of the new store is beautiful. What was the inspiration behind the décor?
The store is inspired by Ted’s trip to the great Canadian outdoors. Paying tribute to the authentic culture and rustic heritage of western Canada, the store’s design is inspired by the imagined 19th-century luxury log cabin of a British explorer. As with all our stores, the conceptual process and design is a collaborative effort with our team of store designers.

What are some of the key décor features our readers should look for at the new location?
Distressed antique oak, mirrors, stone and upholstered leather panels sit in framed brushed brass grids in traditional First Nation patterns, integrating the brand’s British heritage with Vancouver’s northern roots.

You’ll find a series of unconventional props, which tell the story of an English gent’s discovery of, and unconventional approach to, surviving the Great White North. He re-imagines his treasured silver service teapots as plant pots, carving knives as saws; tennis rackets as fishing nets and telephones as hammers.

Why did you pick Pacific Centre as the latest Canadian location for Ted Baker?
We have seen great success in the Toronto market and as Vancouver is one of Canada’s largest fashion destinations it was an easy choice, especially as we know we already have loyal customers there that love everything Ted has to offer. We had been keen to open in downtown Vancouver for some time and the new expansion of Pacific Centre enabled us to secure a prime location in an already thriving mall.

What inspired Ted Baker to create the ‘Bicycle friendly’ collection?
Seeing the Ted team cycle to work and have to shower and change made us realize there was a demand for cycle-friendly wear that is both fashionable and functional.

What are your favourite must have Ted Baker items for the Summer?
For the Ted woman, summer nights out are all about our printed maxi dresses. They utilize our key patterns from the season and are flattering on all body shapes. For the Ted man, a great printed blazer is perfect for a summer night out; this season we have a host of styles, from grey polka dots to our sunflower print.y-ltCld6ytw6bztpP42WHS-epDqYTrEUCuLyhcEY20M,P8XDignePYeidlslvBZ8O3UE6t6T4nWlnobxdmKrwdgyQFzj0FpOdydkIVdiIIa3xzLladuNaLhyIdY2FO5zTY,abswGmJKEiUaMQcJxufXER2fl0jGa-Am-YlwbH4V440
