It all begins with Water. A resource that is incredibly precious, and essential. Tomorrow, Cee and I will be attending Obakki’s Walk for Water benefit at Holt Renfrew. When we heard about the event, we immediately wanted to help spread the word.
While visiting the Obakki design studio for a behind the scenes tour, we each picked a look from the collection to wear to the benefit. There were a lot of beautiful pieces to choose from but I immediately gravitated towards this linen two piece outfit. It’s been so beautiful and sunny in Vancouver (25 degrees +!!) I was excited to wear such a light and comfortable outfit, styled with these Olive and Piper earrings and Miu Miu sunglasses from Vu Sunglass. We stepped out from the studio onto Water Street to shoot our looks. How poetic that a foundation that raises money for fresh water sources is locate on Water Street?
This is a very exciting fashion event for Vancouver. In collaboration with Holt Renfrew’s H Project, the event will raise money to continue the Obakki Foundation’s work, building water wells in the South Sudan. Top Canadian and South Sundanese models will walk the runway including Heather Marks, Ajak Deng and Grace Bol, wearing the latest Obakki collection.
You can attend and support the event too. For more information on tickets visit theobakkifoundation.com
