This wonderful morning turned into a full day exploring MoMA. Located just off 5th Avenue, the museum is home to some of the most recognizable modern art in the world.
Van Gogh’s Starry Night, Picasso’s The Young Ladies of Avignon, Matisse’s The Dance – they’re all there, and so many more. Each room is home to beautiful and significant pieces, and I was in awe every time I turned a corner. I love listening to museum’s audio guide and the MoMA’s guide is so comprehensive. The written descriptions of each painting provided so much insight too, which made the experience so much richer.
We took these photos before our day at the museum on 5th Avenue. This is one of my favourite parts of the city. The Plaza Hotel is located just opposite this beautiful fountain, overlooking Bergdorf Goodman’s. This marble splatter printer dress seemed appropriate for the day’s activities since there are many Jackson Pollocks at MoMA!
We had so much fun shooting here, even though the ground was cobbled. While taking a few walking shots together, Cee and I grabbed each others hands. Cute for photos, yes, but necessary so not to topple over in our Town Shoes suede pumps!
