Prada is set to open their first store in Vancouver this March on Alberni Street. Designed by Studio Baciocchi, an Italian-registered architect, the store will consist of two floors housing the women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories and footwear collections.
Prada’s signature black-and-white marble chequered flooring is featured throughout the boutique and is sure to be a favourite for instagramer’s shoe shots (#IhaveAThingWithFloors, don’t you?!) The space will also feature bright coloured steel, crystal display counters and Clover Leaf shaped sofas, designed by Verner Panton and reproduced exclusively for Prada. The mens section has been created with masculine materials and finishes: ebony floorboards and walls, metal and crystal display units and ostrich leather sofas.
With this latest addition to Alberni Street, Vancouver’s Luxury row is quickly becoming one of the best places in the world for high end shopping.
